Okay, complete spec coming up but probably reasonably accurate. A few images coming up as well. You have been warned!
Fact 1: Patrick and Jessica were in a romantic relationship - quote from letter:

Fact 2: Jessica is the person whose photo we've already seen. Assuming that the bookmark is a pic of her, compare…
(okay so it's different lighting and angle, but I think they look the same)
Fact 3: Patrick used to work for BlueGenics, but no longer does. It's implied that he's dead in both the blood splatter on the photo above, and the following quote from email:

If you wish to contact his family, please do so through our Human Resources department.
Spec 1: Patrick lied in the letter when he said the following:

I'm sorry I can't be there in person tomorrow, but I'll be there in spirit and you'll always be in my ehart and thoughts
He actually left the next day and planned to surprise Jess, but…
Fact 4: The company paid for his flight out. Quote from letter:
the higher ups out here have apparently noticed my depression and are chartering a flight out of Knoxville to San Francisco
Spec 2: The company chartered a flight doomed to crash in the nearby hills.
Add spec 1 and spec 2 and you see that Patrick died on February 14th 2008. His picture looks… let's say early 30s? Matches up with the other date from OutOfTheBlue, September 1st 1975.
Spec 3: Patrick was born on that date.
Fact 5: The picture says "absence makes the heart grow darker" and Jessica has had around 3 months without Patrick.
Spec 4: Jessica has somehow become involved with the Umbrati.
Fact 6: Christopher Rybeck has some role at both BlueGenics and Lightbringers.
Spec 5: Patrick found out something he shouldn't about Chris/Lightbringers, and that's why he was offed.
Fact 7: The signup page says there is a conflict between light and dark. Quote:

Spec 6: Jessica joined the Umbrati to get back at Chris somehow. Maybe Patrick tipped her off earlier about his Lightbringer involvement?
I'm not sure about spec 6, but everything else seems pretty logical.
